San Francisco is commonly known as a city of neighborhoods. Even in San Francisco, Golden Gate Heights is a well-kept secret.  Just as the neighborhood’s streets break from the Sunset’s grid pattern to conform to the steep slopes, Golden Gate Heights stands in contrast to the rest of the Sunset with a combination of magnificent views, hidden stairways, and patches of nearly-pristine open space.

For nearly 50 years, the Golden Gate Heights Neighborhood Association (GGHNA) has worked to preserve and enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood.  While our primary interest encompasses the area bounded by Kirkham Street to the north, Ninth Avenue to the east, Santiago Street to the south and Nineteenth Avenue to the west, our concerns extend to adjoining areas as well
